How to beat NL2

No limit 2 or NL2 which is more commonly known is the very lowest limits you can play in online poker. This is 1c/2c games where you can sit with maximum $2 per table. Most players starts of at this limit and this is also where I would recommend any beginner to start to play. On this limit there will be a lot of fishy players but there will of course also be decent or good players. After all we are playing for real money and most people are in this game to win and make money and to move up the stakes to make even more money.

Some of the poker rooms where you can play NL2 and start to play today is pokerstars, partypoker, 888 poker.

Why should you even play at these low stakes you may think?
The reason for this is since this is where you should start and learn how to play and learn the right fundamentals of this game, if you start at a higher limit and play wrong it will cost you money.
It is therefore cruicial to start to play at this limit or maximum NL5.
You must be able to learn how to beat the players on NL2 before you move up to higher limits where the players are even better.
If you can’t beat the players on NL2 what makes you think that you can beat the players on the higher limits?

Here is my graph of beating NL2. I have played over 670 000 hands on only NL2 all together and I’ve made over $1200 on only NL2.

What can you expect on this limit? There is a lot of crazy players here and a lot of fishes (bad players) who just want to play and don’t care much about what type of starting hand they have. You will see some maniac players who plays hands such as 72 offsuit which is literally the worst hand you can have in poker. Some maniacs well even go all in preflop with such hands even though it is quite rare to see in todays game. Most bad players on this limit don’t have a clue about their hand strength and just want to play and hope to make money. You will face a lot of multipots meaning that a lot of players will be involved in one single hand, this is because they just want to play and don’t want to sit and wait for a good hand. Another reason is since the amount of money is so low that they don’t even care if they lose or win. In my other article I talk about how I have learned how to identify a fish

Below is an example of what you can expect from a typical fish on NL2, going all in preflop with T9 offsuit.
