POKER HANDS RANKING LIST
1. ROYAL FLUSH
This is the best hand that you can have when playing NL Holdem Texas. You have the royal flush when the cards are in the same color and also from starting form the ten to the ace.
It’s very rare to hit the royal flush but when you do it’s very nice and it can pay you some nice money.
2. STRAIGHT FLUSH
This is the second best hand you can have and it happens from time to time but it’s also quite rare. It consists of a straight in the same color.
3. FOUR OF A KIND
This is the third best hand you can have. It’s basically when you have four cards of the same value. This hand is also quite rare but it can give you a lot of money when you’re playing against your opponents. Say for example that you have the hand 99 and the flop comes 99A. Now you have a four of a kind which is very hard for your opponents to know about. They might think their AK hand is the best hand here. They might even have AA and they have a fullhouse but you would will still win over their fullhouse with your four of a kind with the nines.
4. FULL HOUSE
A full house was mentioned in the previous sentence and it’s also a very strong hand. It consists of 3 cards of the same value combined with 2 other cards of the same value, as stated in the example in the picture with AAA and 33. When you have a full house you should always bet for value and get as much money as possible.
5. FLUSH
A flush is what it sounds like, a flush. All colors are the same.
For example if you have the Ace King of clubs
and the flop comes with 8 7 5 of clubs then you have a flush.
6. STRAIGHT
A straight is what it sounds like, just a straight which can range from any different number in order.
It’s a decent hand and happens quite often. Just remember that a flush, full house or higher beats the straight.
7. THREE OF A KIND
Three of a kind is also what it sounds like, you have 3 cards of the same value. There are different terms here that could be good to clarify. When the board comes as in the example in the picture, that’s called three of a kind.
However if you are sitting with for example 5 of diamonds and 5 of clubs
and the board is
Then you have a set. A set is much more harder for your opponent to discover and you can usually make a lot of money from this hand.
8. TWO PAIR
Two pair is when you have two pairs. For example jack jack and five five as in the picture. This hand is decent but it’s easily domniated by any of the other hands mentioned previously and you should play it carefully.
9. PAIR
This is when you have a pair of something. When the board pair as in the picture with the ace of heart Ah and ace of clubs Ac, it’s not that strong. However if you’re sitting on the same hand but as your starting hand then it’s the best starting hand you can have.
10. HIGH CARD
This is basically the worst hand. You don’t have much at all and the strenght of your hand relys on which of the highest card you have on your hand.In the example picture this board has not paired or anything and therefore the highest card is the king of heard Kh.
